When things are changing

Perimenopause and menopause can make themselves known in many ways.

Your body may feel different. Sleep or energy may change. Emotions that once felt manageable may become harder to ignore.

And sometimes the questions aren't easily separated into "menopause symptoms." Relationships may be changing. Work may feel different. Caring for other people may be taking its toll. Your relationship with sexuality, creativity or your own body may be shifting.

Things you have carried for years may suddenly feel heavier. You may know something needs attention without yet knowing exactly what.

Nothing needs to be worked out before you arrive. We begin where you are — and make space for what is changing.

Our time together

We meet once a month for a 90-minute private session over four months.

There isn't a fixed agenda you need to follow. We begin with what is present for you that month — something happening in your body, a relationship, a decision, tiredness, work, a feeling you haven't quite understood, or simply the sense that something needs your attention.

Our sessions are conversational, but we don't necessarily stay entirely in words. Where useful, we may work with breathing, gentle movement, body awareness or simple reflective practices that allow you to notice what is happening from another place.

There can also be space to stay with something rather than immediately trying to fix it.

Over time, something practical may become clearer. Perhaps you need more rest or support. Perhaps there is something you no longer want to carry. A boundary may need attention. There may be a conversation you've been avoiding. Or a small change in everyday life may become obvious.

The changes that emerge don't need to be dramatic. Sometimes recognising one small thing that needs to be different is enough.

What women say

I had a few one-to-one sessions with Irida as I struggled with perimenopause symptoms. I felt held and supported by her, and was encouraged to make changes which have helped. Thank you, Irida!

Why we meet monthly

The intention isn't to rush towards an outcome during a single conversation.

Meeting monthly gives you time between sessions to live. You can notice what stays with you after we meet, try something differently, use a practice we've explored, have a conversation, rest, change your mind or simply allow something to settle.

Then we meet again from wherever you are.

Meeting·Listening·Living·Returning

That rhythm is part of the work.

Something to accompany you between our meetings

Each month you'll also receive a Women's Den reading exploring a wider aspect of this stage of life.

These aren't homework assignments and your sessions don't depend on completing them. They're something you can read in your own time and return to if they speak to something you're experiencing.

The Changing Body

Making space for the reality of living in a body that may be behaving differently — and considering what listening to it might mean now.

The Emotional Landscape

The feelings, sensitivities, irritations, losses, desires and truths that can become more noticeable during these years.

Relationships, Care & Boundaries

What we give, who we care for, what we carry in relationships and where something may need to change.

Work, Creativity & What Matters Now

Questions around work, purpose, creativity, energy and where you want your attention to go in the years ahead.

The readings give us a wider landscape to explore. Your sessions don't follow a curriculum — they follow you.

A space for what is unfolding

There is a great deal of pressure around menopause to work out what is wrong and find the right thing to fix it.

Sometimes something does need addressing. Medical treatment, practical support or changes to everyday life can matter enormously. But there can also be another layer.

These years can bring us into contact with things that have become harder to ignore.

What exhausts me now?

What am I still carrying?

Where have I lost myself?

What do I need more — or less — of?

What matters enough to receive my energy?

There may be endings as well as beginnings. Relationships can shift. The body asks different things of us. The life that worked before may not fit in quite the same way.

You don't have to know what any of this means when you arrive.

My role isn't to tell you who you should become next. It is to accompany you closely enough that you can hear more clearly what is unfolding for you.

Alongside your medical care

Perimenopause and menopause can involve symptoms that deserve proper medical assessment and treatment.

This work can sit alongside support from your GP, menopause specialist or other healthcare professional.

Our sessions don't diagnose symptoms, prescribe treatment or advise you on medication or HRT.

If something arises that would be better explored with a qualified healthcare professional, I'll encourage you to seek that support.

Who you'll be working with

I'm Irida Hysenbelli, founder of Women's Den. I have spent years accompanying women through change — through my coaching work, the women's spaces I facilitate, embodied practice and my training in Menstruality Leadership with Red School, including their menopause programme Menopause: The Awakener (2023). What matters most in this work is not a method, but the quality of attention: once a month, there is somewhere your experience is taken seriously.
